September has brought new winds of change to Vestia Sorting Yard, which will henceforth be known as Veloop. The change is aimed at sharpening operations and providing better assistance to municipalities and waste management companies, especially in the areas of digitalisation of waste stations, improving recycling rates and customer experience.
Although the name is new, the customer base will still consist of municipal waste operators and other municipalities in Finland. The change will allow the customer base and the range of services offered to be extended. Veloop’s expert services are particularly useful for small municipalities, which often lack the expertise to carry out waste management projects.
– Veloop is better than ever at bringing people together to work together. The expertise has been increased, especially in the guidance of structural design, allowing us to better guide the design and achieve savings for the customer through more accurate cost optimisation,” says Project Manager Jukka Saukko.
With a background in waste management and camera surveillance, Veloop is also able to bring a new way of thinking to industrial waste management and construction. Veloop’s strength lies in total solutions: combining technology, operation and control.
– Strong skills in matching solutions would also seem to enable a whole new way of thinking about the practical organisation of operations and automation of data collection. We think that in the future things will need to be verified better than they are today, and as the need for reporting increases we will automate and ensure this process for waste.
Veloop’s services are divided into three main areas: remote monitoring, construction and the sorting yard concept productised from them. These are complemented by the provision of project design, project definition and integration and technology solutions services.
