Construction of the sorting yard in Merijärvi started

We have started construction of a new sorting yard in Merijärvi. The sorting yard in Merijärvi is being built at Koivukuja 1, just off the Merijärventie. The contractor for the sorting yard is Törmälehto Group Oy from Haapavesi. We aim to have the sorting yard completed by the end of the year.

Brand new site

The new sorting yard complements the network of sorting yards, which already includes 17 locations in our municipalities. Vestia has not previously had an office in Merijärvi, so now for the first time the sorting yard services will also be available in Merijärvi. Our nearest branch is the Alavieska sorting yard, which will be the model for the Merijärvi sorting yard.

The opening schedule will be announced later

The opening of the sorting yard will be announced later as the construction work progresses. After the opening, the sorting yard will operate in the same way as Vestia’s other sorting yards.
